New Addition Added To Our Christmas Display

Thanks to Dave (Trash) of Toronto, Ohio, we have now added a new blow mold addition to our Christmas display. It is the Falcon Plastics (Grand Venture) Purple Snowman. Dave went out of his way to get us this Snowman as he bought this one for his own personal Christmas display and as he could not locate me this Snowman at Gabriel's in PA (as they SOLD out of this Snowman) he decided to help me out with my display and send me his Snowman. That was so thoughtful of Dave doing this for me. I will always be greatful to him for doing this big favor. It was very unexpected and I am honored that he thought so highly of me. Now that is graditude. I am happy and pleased. Thank you so much Dave for going out of your way for me. You will always be remember. In return for the Snowman, I an sending Dave a surprise package in a few days after I get read of this flu bug going around. Hold on Dave, your package is coming forward to you.

ITEM #7640 - Union Products 1996 Father Christmas Won On Ebay

I was pleased to have won this Union Father Christmas on ebay last month. He is 3' tall.  This blow mold is in very nice condition as you can tell that by the photos as I now own this one. It was manufactured in 1996 by Union Products.  I had been wanting this blow mold for a long, long time. This had been on my blow mold list for a few years and so now I can cross it off of my most wanted blow molds list. The photo also shows my 2-year-old granddaughter, Autumn, in the photos. She is what makes me motivated in doing a Christmas display. I will have this Father Christmas displayed in the 2006 Christmas display. Stay tuned for more updates on my display.

Sad News Today, Union Products Has Gone Out Of Business As Of July 15, 2006

There has come word today (Saturday, July 15, 2006) that Union Products has gone under. Man, this is TERRIBLE news for the blow mold community!  It is also such a Christmas tragedy for all blow molders that collect these wonderful figures. I wonder if they are completely out of business or are they just discontinuing their holiday items like Grand Venture did? When you think about it, General Foam is now the only "major" player in the market!  I'm afraid that Farley (Canada) has priced themselves out of the market. (I guess we will see.) Drainage doesn't produce that many blow molds compared to what the other companies do (in the past obviously). We can only hope that General Foam does well this year since they won't have much competition. And here's another thought.  Who are we going to have for retailers this year? I expect that WalMart will still carry a few blow molds, but as most of us know their buying and marketing people still don't really know much about blow molds. I am very sorry to see Union Products leave our blow mold community as Christmas is almost upon us for this lighting season. Goodbye, Union Products. I will miss you.

TPI Menards Blue Bear Release - Limited Edition

The TPI Menards Blue Bear is one of my favorite blow molds that I had been trying to find for a few years and with some luck on ebay, I finally found it and won the bidding. I won this Bear in March of 2006. If, I, remember correctly (due to old age), I paid $113 + shipping for it. I won it from Scott Loftus, a PC member of PlanetChristmas.com. Thanks to Scott, I now have another favorite blow mold displayed in my collection.
